Vattenfall halves operating profit

During Magnus Hall's final days as CEO at Vattenfall, the company presents an operating profit cut in half. Vattenfall's difficult 2020 with lower power prices and massive impairments continues, while its profit is decimated.

Over the past 12 months, Swedish utility Vattenfall has seen its bottom line dwindle to SEK 2.48 billion (EUR 239.9 million), a massive setback compared to the SEK 14.9 billion the company reaped in profits during 2019.

And with revenue holding steady around SEK 161 billion, the picture drawn is that of a company that's had a rough 2020.
