
In its pursuit of acquiring improved products for the automotive sector, US-based electronic equipment subsupplier Sensata has decided to buy a 75-percent equity position in Danish battery startup Lithium Balance for a triple-digit sum in DKK millions, reports domestic business daily Børsen.
"We're acquiring a completely different weight with Sensata as owner, and that's crucial for the aim of being introduced to the big carmakers. I'm proud that a Danish-developed battery technology can take its place among the leading global players," Lithium Balance Chief Executive Lars Barkler tells the media.
