Wind and solar power comprise 70 percent of all new electrical capacity planned for installation by developers in the US during 2021.

Almost 40 GW will be added in the country this year in combined cross-technology capacity, reports sector media Recharge News based on estimates from US federal energy agency Energy Information Administration (EIA).
