Equinor wins 2.5 GW in New York state tender

Ørsted and CIP are passed over in the hitherto largest offshore wind allocation in the US. Instead, the winning bid goes to a British-Norwegian partnership.

Equinor has now seriously taken a position in New York state.

The Norwegian oil company has alongside its partner, British oil and gas supermajor BP, won the full bounty from the state's 2.5-GW offshore wind tender.
